Warner Bros. and Universal Studios have collaborated in order to create a Harry Potter Theme Park. The Harry Potter Theme Park is planned to open in 2010. This twenty acre theme park in Florida will allow guests to experience scenes from the books and movies. Fans were definitely glad to hear that construction for the Harry Potter theme park is nearing completion.
The Harry Potter Theme Park is complete with the Hogwarts Castle, the Hogsmeade village, and many other attractions. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, built on the Islands of Adventure, will not be a disappointment to fans.
The Dragon Challenge is based on a part of the Triwizard Tournament, an event depicted in the fifth book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Hungarian Horntail and Chinese Fireball are the 2 sides of the Duelling Dragons attraction.
The Flight of the Hippogriff is an upcoming roller coaster ride located at the Islands of Adventure theme park. Flight of the Hippogriff will be located in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section, and is an alternative to the more extreme rides.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a unique experience to be added to the Islands of Adventure. The attraction will be the signature ride of the Harry Potter theme park. The ride will take the guest through scenes and surroundings inspired by the seven books and films of the Harry Potter series.
Hagrid’s Hut is a sure-fire hit in the new Harry Potter theme park upon its 2010 opening. The attraction is located right next to the roller coaster. Hagrid’s Hut will be a walk-through attraction theme that is a recreation of Rubeus Hagrid’s hut. Who wouldn’t love beholding the bric-a-brac of Hagrid’s house and his famous rock cakes?
Hogwarts Express will let you experience the novelty of riding the famous train. The attraction is a recreation of the Hogwarts Express and it will be located between the Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade. It is planned to debut with the new section of the park in 2010.
Ollivander’s Interactive Experience is the given name for the upcoming attraction at the Harry Potter theme park. The attraction will recreate Ollivander’s and will be an interactive experience attraction. Also in the building is a gift shop selling wands replicated from the Harry Potter series. It is scheduled to open in 2010.
The shopping boutiques for the Harry Potter theme park include Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods. Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods located in the Hogwarts castle is a toy store based on the emporium of Argus Filch. The Dervish and Banges is a toy store located in the recreation of Hogsmeade Village. Ollivander’s is a shop selling wands from the series, located in the building for Ollivander’s Interactive Experience. Honeydukes is a store selling candies replicating the candies found from the Potter series. Zonko’s is a joke store, located in the Hogsmeade Village.
There are the two restaurants located in the Harry Potter theme park. The first is the Hog’s Head, a bar and restaurant based on the Potter location “The Hog’s Head Pub”. The second is The Three Broomsticks, a dining establishment to be located in the recreation of Hogsmeade Village.
Other attractions in the Harry Potter theme park include the Hogsmeade Village. The Owlery is a sitting area themed to the Potter location The Owlery. The Hogwarts Grounds will house such attractions as Flight of the Hippogriff, Dragon Challenge and Hagrid’s Hut.
The Hogwarts Castle in the Harry Potter theme park is a recreation of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the Harry Potter series. The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction will include most of the castle; however, a small area in the building will still allow park guests to walk around while viewing the recreation.
