A dice cup is a simple cup shaped device which is used in games involving dice. The dice are put into the cup and shaken well before rolling them. Traditionally the dice were rolled in the hand and till date this approach is followed often, but a drawback of this is that the rolling of dice is not perfectly random. Among the other dice cups used is the round lady cup, which is also of a height of 90 mm and has a diameter of 55 mm. These cups are lipped at the top and fit most boards.
The round jumbo dice cups are also used often which are 90 mm tall and have a diameter of 75 mm. These cups are most convenient while using large dice or playing with more number of dice. The drawback though with this dice cup is that it does not fit into most of the boards and can be used only while playing on the 5/8’’ boards.
As mentioned earlier, the dice cups come in a wide variety of materials too. The most common being leather due to the elegance and smooth finishing. They also come in more than one color and can be customized as per requirements. Though the dice cups are usually limited to places such as casinos, it is a good accessory to buy for any gamer. A round lady cup would be an ideal choice for a collector as this piece has a very elegant look and is more suitable for the dice games often played at parties or get-togethers.
