1.    Dubai: The yacht is owned by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai. This is one of the most expensive luxury yachts in the world, costing about $350 million. Built by Blohm, and Voss and Lurssen, the yacht is 531 foot long and has been designed by Philippe Starck. This massive vessel can accommodate 115 guests at a time, with enough room for 88 members of the crew. It also has six guest and five VIP suites, each having an open balcony. The ship also has an on board swimming pool, helipad, squash court, aircraft hangar, and other things of convenience and entertainment.

2.    Lady Moura: This precious yacht is owned by the Saudi Prince Nasser al-Rashid. As royal as the prince himself, the yacht costs $210 million, designed by Luigi Sturchio and built by Blohm & Voss. The mega ship is about 354 feet long, and so large that it had problems docking at Monte Carlo harbor. With a crew of 60 members, this massive piece of luxury holds a large pool with a roof that can be retracted. It also has a mock beach complete with all the landscaping of a real beach. Towering over almost every other yacht in the world, this is one of the largest luxury yachts in the world.

3.    Rising Sun: A giant vessel of about 453 feet and priced at $200 million, this is one of the most expensive luxury yachts in the world, designed by late Jon Bannenberg, and built by Lurssen. This piece is co-owned by famous producer David Geffen and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. The boat has five stories, with over 24,000 square feet of space, with 82 rooms to accommodate guests and crew. It has 9,900 square feet of teak layered deck and onyx countertops. It also holds a helipad, a movie theater and a basketball court.

4.    Octopus: This 416 feet gigantic piece is operated by a mere 40 crew members, designed by Espen Oino Naval Architects and built by Lurssen. Standing at $200 million this colossal boat is owned by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft. This is one of the largest and most expensive luxury yachts in the world, and holds two helicopter decks, on-board swimming pool, two submarines and seven small boats.

5.    Pelorus: This 377 feet long yacht was initially owned by a Saudi businessman who sold it to Roman Abramovich, a Russian billionaire. Designed by Tim Heywood, and built by Lurssen, the yacht was priced at $130 million, and was launched sometime in 2003. This too is included in the list of largest luxury yachts in the world. Operated by a crew of 46 members, it holds two helicopter pads, a large pool, four VIP suites and 18 guest rooms.
